Report Details

Occurrence date: Summer/2003
Location: County, MO
Nearby/Vicinity: Osage Beac
Time / Conditions: Summer. Clear. No lighting except for the headlights of the truck.
# of Witnesses: 5

Witness Account:
We were down at Osage Beach at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. It was night and we had just gotten off the highway onto the gravel road to go to the lakehouse. The gravel road is very narrow and twists and turns. Trees canopy on either side of the road. As we were coming around a turn, we saw a huge creature on the left of the vehicle. We were in a Ford truck and the creature was sitting perched, but in that position, it's head came up to about where the handle on the truck is. The creature looked like a gorilla, but was brown and had a hairless face. We turned the car around, but it was gone.
