Witness Account:
A friend and I were traveling to South Louisiana from Atlanta Texas. I always take a short cut from La 1 over to Hwy 71 to avoid coming to a crawl in little speed trap towns. The road is called Mira-Myrtis cutoff road by all the locals. This is a well traveled road and has several homes scattered throughout. Noah Tyson Park is on this road which is a 9 acre park on Black Bayou Lake. ( I personally call it more of a swamp than a lake) I have traveled this road at least 100 times in the past 20 years and have never seen anything of any interest. I always look to see if I see any gators in the swamp area but have never had the pleasure. As i was traveling down this road at 9;00 am in the morning on a fairly sunny day, I saw a black object about 3 to 4 feet tall on the road ahead about 100 yards ahead it was on 2 feet upright walking in a fast pace across the road. I first spotted it as it had come about a foot onto the lane to my left. I watched it cross the road and go into the woods on the other side of the road. It was tall and skinny about the thickness of a telephone pole. It was definitely bipedal. and didnt appear to have a lope or or an animal like gait. It wasnt a bear, dog, cat, cougar, panther, etc. after passing the place where the creature crossed the road, about 30 sec of my brain trying to process what I had seen, I turned to my friend in the passenger seat and asked "Did you just see that?" after a few seconds she replied "yes I did". We both processed that about 30 secs more then I asked. "It was walking on 2 legs right?" She replied "yes it was" And we both sat in silence for a few minutes more as we drove down the road attempting to set it straight and find some reasonable explanation for what we had seen before we even begun to discuss it further. I am a 46yr old, college educated, professional female who is not very gullible. I cannot tell you for sure what I saw but I can definitley tell you what it was not!
