Witness Account:
Our family was visiting my grandparents' house to the west of Grapevine, Texas, when I was four. It is completely developed now, but at the time was very rural. They lived on 48 acres, which was mostly wooded and the nearest neighbors to the west were probably a couple of miles distant. My grandfather had 3 acres dedicated to growing crops year round on the west side of the house, with miles of woods on the opposite side from the house. The yard between the house and the garden was used for growing peaches and apricots. One night, it was intended that I get a bath in my grandparents' downstairs bathroom, on the northwest side of the house facing the apricot trees to the west. At a point, I noticed something watching me through the window. I could see the the shoulders and head of what looked monkey-like with long orange hair. I immediately ran to tell my grandmother and mother I saw a monster in the window. My grandmother laughed and said "You have a vivid imagination." They lived in this house until 1980, and the house was destroyed for development more recently. After my grandfather's death in 1978, my grandmother was afraid to stay in the house, because she was hearing noises outside. Everyone rejected the monster idea, but I told my younger brother I saw a monster in the window. From that point forward, neither of us would go in that part of the house after dark, but would use the upstairs restroom instead... watching the window there, just in case. I'd completely forgotten the event, until my brother was reading reports from your site. He read one of a witness seeing what they believed a bigfoot out of a grandparent's window as a child. I then remembered the event and thought this would explain my encounter. I have since spoken to my now 73 year old mother about it, and she distinctly remembered, and even picked up and finished the event. She remembered me being scared out of the bath because of a "monster" that looked like a big monkey with long, orange hair.
