- Class 1, Corroboration: Reports involving a sighting, and accompanied by another form of support.1b A report investigation results in a sasquatch observation or the documentation of clear tracks or other forms of physical evidence by an investigator.
- Class 1c
- Class 1, Corroboration: Reports involving a sighting, and accompanied by another form of support.1c An investigator determines that a visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot by a very reliable observer is a distinct possibility, tangible corroborating evidence is documented, and all other sources can be reasonably ruled out.
- Class 1d
- Class 1, Corroboration: Reports involving a sighting, and accompanied by another form of support.1d A visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot is a distinct possibility involving two or more reliable observers, and all other sources can be reasonably ruled out.
- Class 2
- Class 2, Competency: Reports involving sightings by professionally trained or highly skilled observers.2 Investigator determines that a visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot is a distinct possibility, the observer is exceptionally trustworthy, professionally trained, and experienced in the outdoors and/or is accustomed to looking for and recording details (e.g., biologist, anthropologist/archaeologist, ranger, trapper/tracker/seasoned hunter, bird watcher, game warden, naturalist, law enforcement), and other explanations can be reasonably excluded.
- Class 3a
- Class 3, Credibility: Sightings or possible wood ape evidence reported by credible witnesses.3a Investigator determines that a visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot is a distinct possibility, the observer is credible, and all other sources can be reasonably ruled out.
- Class 3b
- Class 3, Credibility: Sightings or possible wood ape evidence reported by credible witnesses.3b Unidentifiable vocalizations were reported and there is accompanying tangible evidence to possibly indicate the presence of a sasquatch/bigfoot, the observer is very reliable, and other sources can be reasonably ruled out.
- Class 3c
- Class 3, Credibility: Sightings or possible wood ape evidence reported by credible witnesses.3c No visual encounter occurred, but physical evidence was found to indicate the presence of a sasquatch/bigfoot (tracks, hair, scat, etc.), the observer is very reliable, and other sources can be reasonably ruled out.

Witness Account:
During the deep winter of 1992 my girlfriend, along with several girl scouts and I were camping at a remote cabin on my family farm. I say it was deep winter because all of the leaves and brush were thin. The moon was really bright and having no electricity at the cabin, we had a campfire. I had to have been scrounging up wood for the fire as I was by myself away from everyone else. I grew up in these woods spending all my free time hunting, hiking, trapping, and fishing so I’ve heard and seen just about every critter known. I also worked alone on a 250,000 acre ranch in Wyoming and for a law enforcement agency in remote Colorado so I spent a good amount of time alone in the mountains and isolated range. Anyway, movement caught my eye and I looked up to a huge upright “person” except it was a few feet taller than a person walking along the edge of the pasture about 30 yards from me. The gait reminded me of an elk as it wasn’t moving fast but it was moving at a good clip due to the tallness of it. It reminded me of a huge defensive tackle, except much much bigger. I was working at a local law enforcement agency at the time and was armed of course. I remember feeling that I didn’t think a pistol would be any defense against something so huge. It had no interest in harassing me and was just going about it’s business. I’d felt too many times to count that I wasn’t alone in the woods, back from the time I was a kid. I’d heard what I thought was someone walking in the woods many times, but they were always the steps of a hunter. I always thought it to be a poacher or trespasser so I never investigated. What was interesting this time was that it was completely silent. I didn’t hear a twig or single dry leaf rustle. Well, needless to say, it scared the fool out of me. I hustled back to the camp and loaded everyone in the truck and headed back to town where it was safe. I left the campfire going, the food, everything, and came back the next day to retrieve all our stuff. I’ve had a couple other encounters throughout the years, but nothing like that. I and another cop were creeping around in the woods one night and I was barefoot so I wouldn’t make any noise. We heard it that night and I’ve never been that afraid in my entire life. We didn’t have a lock on the old cabin door and I nailed it shut that night and slept in a corner so I wouldn’t be close to a window. My dad and I managed roughly a thousand acres less than a half mile from our farm, and on several occasions hunters reported that dead trees had crashed down while they were walking down the trails from their deer stands after it got dark or that someone was walking beside them out in the woods. We have an open invitation to the game wardens on our place and on occasion they’ve been on the property and I’d never heard them, only learning later that they’d been scouting. These are guys I’ve worked with for years so there is honesty between us. The night I saw the thing, it wasn’t a person and no one in that part of the county would screw with me, especially any neighbors because I’m always armed and by habit carry a fourty-four due to all the feral hogs that pass through there… among other things.
Physical evidence:
I've found hair and feces before and called SHSU as well as Texas A&M and no one has ever been interested in taking a look at it. A&M said they get too many people wanting that kind of thing tested. I mistakenly said that a "bigfoot" researcher at SHSU wasn't interested, but I mixed that fellow up with a man that works for the Conroe P.D. that was a print specialist. I don't know who I talked to at SHSU.
Hand/foot prints:
none
Sounds:
The one time me and another fellow heard a roar. It was something out of a bad "B" dinosaur movie. That was the incident that scared us so bad.
Additional observations:
nope. However, I've heard some strange whistling that I couldn't attribute to any bird or deer. I'd whistle back and it would repeat the whistle. As a habit, I do the whistle just about everytime I'm at the farm just by habit. Only once have I ever been answered but I have no idea what it is.
