Deer Hunter Has Early Morning Sighting of Large Bipedal Creature

Report Details

Occurrence date: December/2010
Location: Delta County, TX
Nearby/Vicinity: Charleston, Tx
Time / Conditions: 07:00 — Just before sun rise. Very cold and really dry.
# of Witnesses: 1

Witness Account:
A tall shaggy figure come out of the woods. It was 200 yds to my right front and in long steps went to my immediate front to my deer feeder. I first thought was it was a poacher wearing a guilly suit. I scoped it with my rifle scope and realized it was much taller than a man. The fence around my feeder hits me almost chest high. The figure I saw standing there at the fence only hit it about the low waist line. I'm 6' tall. It stood there only a few more moments and disappeared in the woods behind my feeder.

Physical evidence:
My sighting took place in the early morning light before sun rise. After it disappeared I settled down, finished my hunt & tried to figure out what I witnessed. About 9:30 a.m. I got out of the stand and investigated the area this all took place in. Since it was very dry there were no tracks to be found.I've been hunting this area for over 12 years. Its in the river bottom about a mile below Cooper Lake Damn in Delta County. I have heard the wood knocking and strange cries before, but this is my first sighting.

Hand/foot prints:
None observed. Very dry conditions.

Sounds:
I have heard the wood knocking and weird cries before over the years. I've been a hunter for almost 50 years. I've seen just about all, mountain lion encounters, black panthers, wolfs, etc.. This was a first for me.

Additional observations:
See notes above.
