Witness Account:
Myself, my son and my brother were riding atv's. We had left Larry's land in Kilgore, crossed the Sabine under the I-20 and followed some trails that ran southeast towards lake port, where it dead ended into the Sabine, what some call sandy beach. We had turned our bikes off to take a break. We could hear someone talking, plain as day, but couldn't understand what they were saying. I figured someone was camping and there voices were echoing off the water. it was around 2:00 a.m. in the morning, on the way back,on the trail we had just came down somehow a large tree had been laid across. The tree wasn't cut, it had been broken and was probably about the size of a telephone pole. Once again the bikes were turned off and i stepped off with a machete in hopes of trimming one of the limbs in order for us to pass. We could still hear the voices even though we had been traveling for fifteen minutes and weren't on the water anymore. I began to hack away a limb with the machete. After the first series of "hacks" i stopped to catch my breath, there had been no echo. from that point on each hack was echoed. We were feeling very uncomfortable, but had managed to keep our cool until the echo no longer matched our hacks. Never consistent it sounded more like a log on a tree. If we hacked three times.. we might hear four or five. we got out of there that night thinking someone was messing with us, but after watching an episode of "Searching For Bigfoot" my story had a lot of similarities to some of there stories.

Sounds:
human like voices, log banging on tree
