- Class 1c
- Class 1, Corroboration: Reports involving a sighting, and accompanied by another form of support.1c An investigator determines that a visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot by a very reliable observer is a distinct possibility, tangible corroborating evidence is documented, and all other sources can be reasonably ruled out.

- Class 2
- Class 2, Competency: Reports involving sightings by professionally trained or highly skilled observers.2 Investigator determines that a visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot is a distinct possibility, the observer is exceptionally trustworthy, professionally trained, and experienced in the outdoors and/or is accustomed to looking for and recording details (e.g., biologist, anthropologist/archaeologist, ranger, trapper/tracker/seasoned hunter, bird watcher, game warden, naturalist, law enforcement), and other explanations can be reasonably excluded.

- Class 3b
- Class 3, Credibility: Sightings or possible wood ape evidence reported by credible witnesses.3b Unidentifiable vocalizations were reported and there is accompanying tangible evidence to possibly indicate the presence of a sasquatch/bigfoot, the observer is very reliable, and other sources can be reasonably ruled out.
- Class 3c
- Class 3, Credibility: Sightings or possible wood ape evidence reported by credible witnesses.3c No visual encounter occurred, but physical evidence was found to indicate the presence of a sasquatch/bigfoot (tracks, hair, scat, etc.), the observer is very reliable, and other sources can be reasonably ruled out.

Witness Account:
Even though I have read the 1969 Sardis, TX account previously on your site, for some reason it never even actually occurred to me until today to correlate that sighting with my own possible personal encounter. I was possibly four or five years old in 1967 to 1968 when I saw a hairy being looking at me through my bedroom window on East University Avenue, Waxahachie, TX. That would make it within a year or two and just a very few miles distance from the other Ellis County, TX report. As I was truly very young at the time, I have never known quite what to make of the remembered experience during the intervening fourty-odd years. That is maybe until today.
I clearly remember being absolutely paralized with fear in the middle of the night lying on my bed with my face pressed against the wall. I had my hand cupped over my face because I could distinctly sense some sort of a prescence at the window on the opposite (north east) wall of the room. It is impressed on my mind to this day the overwhelming feeling of terror that then seemingly permeated the room, as it were. This was no simple childhood night time fear born out of a young over-active immagination, this feeling was palpable and unforgettable. Honestly I have no explanation for my "feeling" it before my seeing it.
Crying, I decided I needed to look at the window. Turning around I saw a hairy, man-like being looking directly at me through the window. To the right of the window lay my younger brother (I assume) fast asleep. I could see no particular facial features as it was backlit. I simply saw its decidedly hairy sillouette from I guess about the crotch up. It was slightly bending over. I cannot say for sure what the hair color was except that it was dark.
The sole facial detail of the creature I saw was always the most perplexing to me. Seemingly the eyes appeared to glow dully from within! After reading other reports of people observing eye shine from these creatures, maybe that brings explanation to what I witnessed. I could discern no expression from its eyes, heard no sound, or saw any movement. It appeared to be simlpy watching me. After seeing the creature very briefly, I remeber swinging the covers off and running in panic to my parent's bedroom. I remeber crying hysterically in my mother's embrace as she tried to reasure me.
Though I contemplated on the event from time to time through the years, I never talked about it except with say, shool friends. That is until it somehow came up casually in conversation with my family when I was about thirty-five. My mother was extreemly taken aback. Truly surprised she asked, "Do you really still remember that?" Saying yes, I asked her what she could recall of it. She said that I had come running in their room saying that I had seen a face. I reafirmed to her then that it was a true visual encounter with someone/something. I was however just as surprised that she would also rember that singular night three deades prior.
Anyway, I can offer no flip or patent explanation as to what I saw that night. However three aspects of the incident gives me pause from labeling it a bigfoot sighting. First, I do not actually recall the shoulders being overly broad as is commonly reported. If my no doubt clouded childhood memory serves me, they appeared I think to be relatively close to the human male norm. Additionally I do not recall it being of true giant stature as such. However it did appear taller than most men. But as I was lying down and it was bending over, size would be hard to ascertain. And also the fact that this was no rural setting, but within the confines of a small town which was itself surrounded by rural farmland and riparian habitat.
Since that night in Waxahachie, I have since been trying to come to terms with my experience. As a child, I would frequently draw it. As an adult, I read the reported bigfoot encounters of others attempting to garner possible insight. Maybe my drawing possible connection of the 1969 incident with mine today, and finally submitting an actual report may help. Trying not to come across as glib, I'll then add rather ambiguously, that I cannot say exactly what it is that I saw, but whatever I did see, I do know that I truly saw it.
