- Class 1a
- Class 1, Corroboration: Reports involving a sighting, and accompanied by another form of support.1a A sasquatch/bigfoot specimen has been collected (alive or dead).
- Class 1b
- Class 1, Corroboration: Reports involving a sighting, and accompanied by another form of support.1b A report investigation results in a sasquatch observation or the documentation of clear tracks or other forms of physical evidence by an investigator.
- Class 1c
- Class 1, Corroboration: Reports involving a sighting, and accompanied by another form of support.1c An investigator determines that a visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot by a very reliable observer is a distinct possibility, tangible corroborating evidence is documented, and all other sources can be reasonably ruled out.
- Class 1d
- Class 1, Corroboration: Reports involving a sighting, and accompanied by another form of support.1d A visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot is a distinct possibility involving two or more reliable observers, and all other sources can be reasonably ruled out.
- Class 2
- Class 2, Competency: Reports involving sightings by professionally trained or highly skilled observers.2 Investigator determines that a visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot is a distinct possibility, the observer is exceptionally trustworthy, professionally trained, and experienced in the outdoors and/or is accustomed to looking for and recording details (e.g., biologist, anthropologist/archaeologist, ranger, trapper/tracker/seasoned hunter, bird watcher, game warden, naturalist, law enforcement), and other explanations can be reasonably excluded.
- Class 3a
- Class 3, Credibility: Sightings or possible wood ape evidence reported by credible witnesses.3a Investigator determines that a visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot is a distinct possibility, the observer is credible, and all other sources can be reasonably ruled out.
- Class 3b
- Class 3, Credibility: Sightings or possible wood ape evidence reported by credible witnesses.3b Unidentifiable vocalizations were reported and there is accompanying tangible evidence to possibly indicate the presence of a sasquatch/bigfoot, the observer is very reliable, and other sources can be reasonably ruled out.
- Class 3c
- Class 3, Credibility: Sightings or possible wood ape evidence reported by credible witnesses.3c No visual encounter occurred, but physical evidence was found to indicate the presence of a sasquatch/bigfoot (tracks, hair, scat, etc.), the observer is very reliable, and other sources can be reasonably ruled out.

Investigator's Observations
I talked to the witness that lives in Florida, but grew up in North Central Texas. Her grandparents lived near the tiny town of Horton in what is known as the Horton Bottoms. There was also a place called Lost Ridge that was a part of this general area.
She said as a child they would visit her grandparents and would stay the night. Her brother, uncle and her would play in the woods every chance they got until late at night. They loved to explore and pick the wild persimmons that grew in the area.
On occasion they would hear a horrible scream coming deep from the woods at night. Her Grandmother would say, That is 'The Screaming Lady.' Her parents would say it was only a panther, but both of her grandparents would disagree, saying there was something unusual living in the bottoms that made this eerie sound.
Around 1972, her brother and uncle were in the bottoms searching for arrowheads after a huge rain that caused flooding in parts of the pastures. She was in the house when the boys suddenly burst in telling the family that they needed to follow them to the field, they had found something incredible.
When they got to the flooded field, they found several large tracks. There were three clear tracks, with a fourth track going deep into the flooded water. The tracks were huge, but the witness does not remember details such as how many toes or shape. Hopefully we will have these pictures sent to us soon, as a member of the family hopefully still has them in their possession. However, they did have the presence of mind to get a camera and take pictures and use something (she doesn't remember what) to lie beside the tracks to give it scale. Her Grandmother stepped off the tracks that had six feet distance in between.
Her grandparents told her of another story that occurred in the early 1990s. They claimed they were traveling north of Horton on the paved road looking for aluminum cans on the side of the road. It was near dark, and they spotted a van pulled over in the ditch. They started to stop to investigate, thinking it was someone with car trouble.
As they neared the van they saw a giant man standing behind the vehicle. Eventually they saw it was no man, but a large hair covered man-shaped animal standing on its hind legs. It glanced at her grandparents as they passed, then stepped over a barbed-wire fence without bending its legs and walked into the woods. Her grandparents did not know about Bigfoot, but they knew that some large animal was living in the local woods leaving human-like tracks, and this must be one of them.
On one other occasion the woman was hunting with her husband in Hunt County around 1992 when she may once again have been in the vicinity of a Bigfoot. Her husband owns property on Whiteoak Creek, which has had other reports in the past of Bigfoot sightings.
She was in a tree stand late one afternoon when the sounds of the woods suddenly stopped. This frightened her, because of the suddenness of the stopping of the bird and insect noise. A few moments later, she smelled what she thought was a dead animal, and then the smell seemed to change to a skunk. Finally, the smell was so bad she nearly became nauseated. Eventually the smell dissipated and she waited in fright for her husband to appear. Unfortunately, he never appeared, and after dark she saw the truck lights in the distance and heard the honking of the truck horn for her to leave the stand and come to the truck. She soon discovered that her flashlight batteries had died, and she had to walk to the truck through the dark woods to safety. She says she will never hunt in those woods again.
