# of Witnesses: 0

Witness Account:
I was duck hunting and had been sitting in my blind for a couple hours waiting for some ducks to come in towards evening. Suddenly for some reason I look up towards the top of a hill and I saw a large creature standing with its arms stretched up and out. I turned away for just a moment, looking back it was gone. I then ran as fast as I could to to the top of the hill some 75 to 100 yards away. Reaching the crest of the hill there was nothing. Scanning the landscape of some 300 acres of plowed farm land there was no sign of this creature.

Physical evidence:
None. I was 17 at the time and I did not think of looking for footprints.

Investigator's Observations

I spoke by phone to this witness 27 April 2005 and found him to be a credible witness who answered all my questions without hesitation. During our conversation a couple more details came to light.

He was duck hunting at a man made lake approximately one or two miles south of Corpus Christi city limits next to Oso Creek. Looking to the southwest he noticed a large creature standing on a ridge with its arms up and out as if it was stretching. The sun was setting in the west giving him silhouette of the creature, not good enough to see facial or body details, just a large hairy creature standing on two legs.

Glancing to pick up his gun and noting that his dog had no reaction to it. He looked back to see the creature had disappeared. Being armed for duck hunting and in company of his German Shepard dog, feeling the bravery of youth, he ran with his dog to the location about 75 to 100 yards away where creature was and could see nothing of the creature.

Other Details:
The wind was blowing northward, so the dog had no inclination of anything unusual until arriving on site.
The dog began barking upon arriving at location creature was seen.
There was a dirt road separating plowed fields just over the ridge where the creature was seen with drainage ditches and knee to waist high grass that creature must have hidden in, as witness did not think anything could have ran the long distance to heavy wooded area in the short time it took for him to arrive at the site.
At no time did he smell or hear anything.
Thinking back, if the same scenario happened today, there would be no way he would have ran to the site for a better look.
