- Class 1, Corroboration: Reports involving a sighting, and accompanied by another form of support.1b A report investigation results in a sasquatch observation or the documentation of clear tracks or other forms of physical evidence by an investigator.
- Class 1c
- Class 1, Corroboration: Reports involving a sighting, and accompanied by another form of support.1c An investigator determines that a visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot by a very reliable observer is a distinct possibility, tangible corroborating evidence is documented, and all other sources can be reasonably ruled out.

- Class 1, Corroboration: Reports involving a sighting, and accompanied by another form of support.1d A visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot is a distinct possibility involving two or more reliable observers, and all other sources can be reasonably ruled out.
- Class 2
- Class 2, Competency: Reports involving sightings by professionally trained or highly skilled observers.2 Investigator determines that a visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot is a distinct possibility, the observer is exceptionally trustworthy, professionally trained, and experienced in the outdoors and/or is accustomed to looking for and recording details (e.g., biologist, anthropologist/archaeologist, ranger, trapper/tracker/seasoned hunter, bird watcher, game warden, naturalist, law enforcement), and other explanations can be reasonably excluded.
- Class 3a
- Class 3, Credibility: Sightings or possible wood ape evidence reported by credible witnesses.3a Investigator determines that a visual encounter with a sasquatch/bigfoot is a distinct possibility, the observer is credible, and all other sources can be reasonably ruled out.
- Class 3b
- Class 3, Credibility: Sightings or possible wood ape evidence reported by credible witnesses.3b Unidentifiable vocalizations were reported and there is accompanying tangible evidence to possibly indicate the presence of a sasquatch/bigfoot, the observer is very reliable, and other sources can be reasonably ruled out.
- Class 3c
- Class 3, Credibility: Sightings or possible wood ape evidence reported by credible witnesses.3c No visual encounter occurred, but physical evidence was found to indicate the presence of a sasquatch/bigfoot (tracks, hair, scat, etc.), the observer is very reliable, and other sources can be reasonably ruled out.
Case: 01030004
Class 1cFamily reports series of encounters in early 1990s near Lake Bob Sandlin.
Report Details
Occurrence date: /1990-1994
Location: Camp County, TX
Nearby/Vicinity: Pittsburg
Time / Conditions: The area was wooded at the time. Lake Bob Sandlin is nearby. There were chicken farms all around this area and the creek seemed to draw them. There were small farms all around. One farmer in the area reported losing some small calves and goats. Their stomachs were ripped open. We liked to think that was coyotes, not our creatures.

Witness Account:
Please contact Dr. Carl Baugh in Texas. He came out and brought two others with him. He documented that there were indeed five bigfoots living in this area. He took pictures, video, and samples of hand and foot prints.
A family of four, myself and three sons, had various encounters with these animals. We hunted them and watched them for two or three years before we moved from the area. Dr. Baugh asked us not to make known where these creatures were because they would be hunted down and hurt. We never made it public. However, it was amazing how many others came up and said they also had seen this creature.
There was one, who we called Blondie, that was a loner. He was not brown as the others we saw. He was a lovely blonde color with skin a golden tan. I believe he had a hearing problem because he nearly walked into me one morning, approximately 75 feet, before I screamed. Then he jerked and ran the other way. His hair was not matted, but seemed to be combed smooth. He/she was hairy all over except the face and chest area.
The first witness, my son, was riding his bike with his twin brother and another boy. He came down a hillside road before the others and this large one stepped out in front of him. He came within fifty feet from it when he slammed on his brakes. He went into shock and we had quite a time with him. He was 15 at the time.
Describing them would be difficult except to say they ranged from about five foot to at least eight foot tall. The hair was brown, nearly the color of tree trunks. They were thin, not fat at all. Hair around the face was long and swung loosely as they walked. The body hair was shorter and laid smoothly on the skin. The blonde one was very easy to see. He must have been young, about six foot tall, and the skin was such a lovely tan. I will never forget those few seconds of my encounter with him. His nose seemed larger and nearly flat against the face...but not like a bear or a pig...very hard to describe.
The sounds they made when warning you away was like a "Hey", but more with a long A. They growled if we got too close and their eyes in a flashlight were green neon colored. The eyes in the tail lights of the car were glowing red. I would never take anything for this experience. It was wonderful and opened my eyes to the world around me. They are there. They are not mean or evil
Hand/foot prints:
The first foot print was 18 inches long...the big toe was five inches long and the width of the ball of the foot was eight inches...the heel...I am not sure about. There were many footprints found...some handprints where Blondie jumped over a fence, after coming down out of a tree (yes, they climb trees). Dr. Baugh took a hair sample but said he lost it somewhere. We lost contact with him after we all moved away. All my sons are married and gone from home now and I am living in Arkansas. I do have one son in Longview who loves to talk with you about what he saw. He was the first one in the family to experience it.
Sounds:
The sounds they make when mad are just indescribable. They have a low, very low howl, and when running scared they scream nearly like a person.
Additional observations:
No odor was ever noticed. That is what was so strange. We all thought as close as we got that there was supposed to be a smell...but we noticed none.
there were others who admitted to seeing these creatures. They were reported all over Camp County, especially northwest of the town of Pittsburg. The area has changed a lot over these last ten years and houses have been built out in this area.
Investigator's Observations
Investigator(s): Jerry Hestand and Dr. Carl Baugh
This investigation was conducted as a result of incidents that allegedly occurred in Camp County, Texas near Pittsburg in the early 1990s.
I interviewed the primary witness and her son on 10 March 2003; I talked to her first. She gave details of encounters that supposedly occurred from around 1990 to 1994. The witness claimed that the first one she saw was around 6:00 PM in the fall of 1990. The witness said that she saw the subject walking with its arms at its sides and its hands in fists.
Also, the witness told of how she and her sons had put a microphone in a tree, and apparently something frequently smelled and breathed into the mike. She said the vocalizations that she heard were hard to describe, but they ranged from screams to low moans and a type of sad sound, like "Hey" being said with a low growl.
The witness also claimed that she heard a low moan once, and then the subject that she referred to as ?Blondie? came out of the woods with its head down, swinging its arms. The witness said she immediately screamed, and the subject turned around and headed back into the woods.
The witnesses claimed that the hair on these subjects looked like human hair and appeared to be groomed or combed. The colors ranged from blonde, brown and black. The hair was supposedly long on the head, and swung in front of its face like a horse's mane. These subjects reportedly seen here were said to be thinner than the subject in the Patterson-Gimlin film, of Northern California. The primary witness estimated that the largest of the subjects probably weighed close to 400 pounds.
The witnesses described the heads as ?not real pointed but rounder than a regular human head.?
The primary witness believed that the subjects were taking advantage of chicken carcasses that were being dumped on this road in pits by chicken ranchers. She claimed that other farmers had reported goats or small animals with their stomachs ripped open. The area was heavily wooded by a lake, with lots of food sources and water.
The witness?s son claimed that he saw one of the subjects walk across the road in front of him when he was 15-16 years old. He was riding his bike, and the ?blonde? subject stepped out in front of him, followed by another one of darker color.
Dr. Baugh and his colleagues came to the area to look at the tracks, and found hair samples. Dr. Baugh determined from the evidence he collected that there were four: a male, two female, and a young one.
Most of the land in question is private land that has been developed, with a few forestry service areas. Increased development would likely put pressure on the local wildlife to vacate.
Even though the reported incidents certainly warrant skepticism, and despite our serious attempts to discern deception and fabrication, the witness and her son certainly appeared to be very credible. A few other NAWAC investigators spent considerable time with me at the site near Pittsburg, Texas. We were unable to make any firsthand observations for corroboration.
